Mrs. Carolina Rubio MacWright was born in Bogotá, Colombia and attended law school at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana for two years prior to migrating to the United States. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University and received her law degree from Oklahoma City University.
While in law school, she gained legal experience by interning for the Oklahoma City County public defender's office, as well as Catholic Charities where she specialized in asylum cases. She also worked for the Texas Civil Rights Project focusing on cases involving the Violence Against Women Act.
Upon graduating from law school, she worked in a small private law firm in Oklahoma City practicing family law, criminal law and family-based immigration law. Two years ago, Mrs. Rubio MacWright relocated to Miami and has since worked exclusively in the area of Immigration law.
Mrs. Rubio MacWright has great experience in obtaining family-based and employment-based visas. In addition, she has litigated numerous cases, including asylum, removal and deportation hearings.
Mrs. Rubio MacWright is admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and is admitted to practice immigration law in all 50 states.
